Intelligence Bureau MTS Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 362 Posts
MHA, part of the IB, has proclaimed the MTS (General) recruitment for 2025 for Indian nationals, qualified to apply for the position. Candidates applying need to have passed at least 10th grade or equivalent examination from a recognized board and must have a domicile certificate from the applied state as of December 14, 2025. A single application will be accepted from candidates for any one of SIB’s regional branches. They will have Tier-I (Objective MCQ) and Tier-II (Descriptive) exams to qualify. The posting will carry All India Transfer liability. This recruitment is one of the important Staff Selection Board Jobs for those aspiring to work for the Central government.

How to Apply for IB MTS Recruitment 2025
- Visit the official MHA website at https://www.mha.gov.in/en
- Go to the “Recruitment” or “Opportunities” and find IB MTS (G) Notification 2025.
- Read the entire notification where you have to make sure that you meet all the eligibility criteria including age, qualification and domicile.
- Then, click on the “Apply Online” link in order to apply (portal will active starting November 22, 2025).
- Fill in all the required personal, educational and category details accurately, choosing one SIB and up to five city exam preference.
- Scan and upload copies of photograph, signature and any required documents (to include those listed like your matric certificate or domicile proof).
- Pay the application fee online using SBI ePay Lite (Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Internet Banking or SBI Challan). Wait for server confirmation, so you don’t accidentally pay twice.
- Review the application form, submit it and take a printout of the future reference.

The eligibility for application has been confined to Indian nationals possessing a Matriculation pass or other equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and domicile certificate as on dated December 14, 2025 of desired state-related applicant applied for. Candidates can submit the application for one specific Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) only and must comply with age and other eligibility conditions as cited in the notification.
The selection process consists of two stages: Tier-I, an online objective-type MCQ test and Tier II, a descriptive test of the English language and comprehension skills. The candidates will be shortlisted on Tier-I marks and only those who qualify for Tier-II will be considered for preparing the final merit. Document verification and allocation to the respective SIB will follow the merit order.
Yes, through online application, candidates must choose five options regarding their city of examination; however, actual allocation may differ due to availability of seats as well as oversubscription. The cities selected are irreversible and the candidates will be accommodated in one of the cities selected by them for Tier-I examination.
