Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a “Global 500” Company of Fortune and India’s largest commercial organization, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for appointment as Apprentices in Technical and Non-Technical Trades under Pipelines Division. This drive of recruitment, in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, is for the appointment of around 457 Apprentices in five regions: Eastern Region Pipelines (ERPL), Western Region Pipelines (WRPL), Northern Region Pipelines (NRPL), Southern Region Pipelines (SRPL) and South Eastern Region Pipelines (SERPL). Eligible candidates are invited to apply online by 28th September 2025.

  • 3-year full-time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts).

  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.
Technician Apprentice (Electrical)
  • 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts).
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.
Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation)
  • 3-year full-time Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Radio Communication, Instrumentation & Control, Instrumentation & Process Control or Electronics Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts).
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.
Trade Apprentice (Assistant-Human Resource)
  • Full-time Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts).
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.
Trade Apprentice (Accountant)
  • Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD for reserved posts).
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications re not eligible.
Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices)
  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate).
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.
Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders)
  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate).
  • Must possess a Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ (training less than one year) issued by a recognized body under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or Central Government.
  • Part-time/correspondence/distance education modes are not eligible.
  • Higher qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA) or pursuing such qualifications are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 28th February 2025)

Age Relaxation

  • PwBD: 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL)
