Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU and India’s leading energy conglomerate, has released the Recruitment of Graduate Engineers/Officers (Grade A) by Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2025. Enthusiastic and committed Indian citizens from the fields of Chemical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering are requested to submit their applications online from 05th September 2025 to 21st September 2025. Pay Scale & Service Bond
- Pay Band: Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,60,000/- (Grade A).
- Basic Pay: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Approximate Gross CTC: Rs. 17.7 Lakh per annum (including perks & allowances).
- Service Bond for General category: Rs. 3,00,000/- (3 years).
- Service Bond for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD categories: Rs. 50,000/- (3 years).
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) will consist of 100 objective MCQs with a duration of 150 minutes.
- The CBT will be composed of 50 Domain Knowledge questions and 50 General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability) questions.
- The marking scheme will give +1 mark for every correct answer and -0.25 mark for every wrong answer.
- Group Discussion (GD), Group Task (GT) and Personal Interview (PI) will be held for shortlisted candidates.
- Final weightage will be CBT 85%, GD/GT 5% and PI 10%.
- Minimum qualifying marks are 45% overall for General/EWS/OBC, 40% overall for SC/ST and 30% overall for PwBD candidates.

FAQs
AICTE/UGC- Indian citizens are eligible with a full-time B.E./B.TECH degree in chemical, electrical or instrumentation engineering from recognized institutions. Candidates will have to complete a minimum marks criterion of 65% for General/ EWS/ OBC and 55% for SC/ ST/ PWBD. Final year students can also apply, provided they submit their degrees/ marksheets within the specified time limit. Part-time, correspondence, distance or online degree is not considered.
Selection includes a computer-based test (CBT) including 100 questions covering domain knowledge and general qualifications, followed by group discussion (GD)/Group Work (GT) and Personal Interview (PI). Shortlisted candidates are evaluated based on overall scores with 85% for CBT, 5% for GD/GT and 10% for PI. Minimum qualification marks are 45% for general/EWS/OBC, 40% for SC/ST and 30% for PWBD.
