IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2025 – Apply Now for 64 Posts
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) South Zone has announced recruitment for Hospitality Monitor posts on a contract basis. Eligible and qualified candidates should appear for a walk-in interview. The initial contract period is for 2 years, extendable by one more year depending on requirement and satisfactory performance. Candidates are advised to check themselves against eligibility criteria, including educational qualification, experience, age limit and other requirements. Selection will depend on performance in the personal interview and offers will be issued in order of merit to the shortlisted candidates. Pay Scale:
- Total CTC: Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 40,000/- per month per month (incl. of Statutory Deductions and other allowances).
- Daily Allowance: Rs. 350/- per day for on-duty on-board in train(s) (100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6-12 hours, 30% for less than 6 hours).
- Lodging Charges: Rs. 240/- if night stay involved in outstation.
- National Holiday Salary (NHS): There are a number of options for those who only work rostered holidays Rs. 473/- per day or Rs. 583/- per day, depending on the case.
- Medical Insurance: Up to Rs. 2,000/- per month (reimbursable on submission of valid policy documents, based on age).
Selection process
- Candidates must complete and submit the Application Form at the interview venue with original and attested document copies and three passport-size photographs.
- Walk-in interviews will be held in Trivandrum, Bengaluru, Chennai and Thuvakudi on November 08, 2025, November 12, 2025, November 15, 2025 and November 18, 2025, respectively.
- Selection will be based on credentials and performance in the personal interview.
- Offers will be issued to shortlisted candidates in order of merit, based on vacancy numbers.
- Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness test and submit a Rs. 25,000/- security deposit via DD.

- Download and complete the application form from www.irctc.co.in and carry it along with original documents, one set of attested documents and three passport-size photographs for verification during walk-in interview.
- Attend any one of the centers — November 08, 2025 (Trivandrum), November 12, 2025 (Bengaluru), November 15, 2025 (Chennai) or November 18, 2025 (Thuvakudi).
- The selection will be done on credentials and performance in the interview.
- The selected persons should produce a security deposit of Rs. 25,000/- in DD form and relieving letter if already employed.
- A candidate can attend only one center; multiple appearances shall result in disqualification.
- No TA/DA will be arranged and the candidates should make their own accommodation and meals if necessary.
FAQs
Applicants should have a full-time degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or an allied area from a recognized institute or university. Only Indian citizens who qualify as per the defined age restrictions, educational levels and experience requirements are eligible. Applicants who completed their graduation prior to 2024 and possess a minimum two years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply.
Selection is by walk-in interview, in which the applicant needs to submit an application form duly filled, original documents and attested copies. Candidates are shortlisted based on credentials, experience and performance in the personal interview. A panel of reserved candidates would also be formed for use in case some vacancies arise.
After all statutory deductions, the net monthly CTC is approximately Rs. 30,000/-. Other allowances could be daily on-board allowances, outstation lodging charges for nights, national holiday allowances and up to Rs. 2,000/- per month for medical insurance, depending upon one’s age. The take-home can vary based on travel, duration of duty hours and holidays.
