Qualification Criteria
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th Pass)
- Maximum Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board of School Education/Institution
- Domicile: Valid domicile holder of Jammu & Kashmir UT
- Medical Standards: Candidate should fulfill medical standards prescribed
- Additional Requirements:
- Candidate should hold the prescribed qualifying education up to the cut-off date (August 25, 2026).
- The candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must submit the necessary equivalence certificates.

Age Limitations for JKSSB Warder Recruitment 2026
- Open Merit Category: The upper age limit is 40 years, which means the birth dates of applicants must be between January 01, 1986 and January 01, 2008.
- Reserves and Ex-Servicemen: For SC, ST, RBA, OBC, ALC/IB and EWS categories, the upper age limit is 43 years whereas the age of Ex-Servicemen will be reduced from the date of actual military service.
- Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen:
- The Ex-Servicemen can reduce their date of service from the actual date of birth.
- It should not exceed the upper age limit by 3 years.
- Age of Ex-Serviceman shall be calculated on January 01, 2026.

- Written Examination:
- Multiple Choice Questions – Objective Type
- The questions would be set only in English Language
- Negative Marking: One-fourth of marks deducted for each incorrect answer

- Physical Standard Test (PST):

- A shortlist six times the total number of vacant positions will be selected for PST
