The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) invites applications for the Assistant Director (Disaster Management) Recruitment 2025 from eligible officers working in Central/ State Governments, PSUs, and other government organizations. Candidates must possess the required academic qualifications and relevant experience. The recruitment will take place on a Deputation (including short-term contract) basis. The posting location for selected officers is New Delhi.

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Economics / Commerce /
    Mathematics / Statistics / Operations Research from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in compilation, presentation
    and analysis of statistical data in a Government Office / PSU / Autonomous
    Body / University / Statutory Body.
  • Desirable: Diploma in Disaster Management and experience in relief
    operations.
  • Service Requirement: Officers holding analogous posts regularly
    OR with 2 years’ regular service in Level-8 in the Pay Matrix.

How to Apply for MHA Assistant Director Recruitment 2025

  • Visit the official Ministry of Home Affairs website at https://www.mha.gov.in.
  • Go to the “Notifications” section and click on “Vacancies”.
  • Download the official recruitment notification and application format (Annexure-II).
  • Fill out the application form accurately in duplicate.
  • Attach vigilance clearance, cadre clearance, attested copies of educational qualifications, and ACRs/APARs for the last five years.
  • Ensure each page of ACRs/APARs is attested with a rubber stamp.
  • Verify that no disciplinary proceedings are pending or contemplated and obtain the required certification.
  • Forward the complete application through the proper channel.
  • Completed applications should be forwarded to the Under Secretary (Ad.V), Ministry of Home Affairs, Room No. 81-D, North Block, New Delhi – 110001.
  • Ensure the application reaches the destination on or before 29 August 2025.
  • Late or incomplete applications will be strictly rejected and shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Candidature once submitted cannot be withdrawn later.
