Punjab & Sind Bank invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the posts of Credit Manager and Agriculture Manager in Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS II) on a regular basis. Candidates are requested to carefully review the eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age limit and experience, before applying. The selection process includes a written test (optional), screening and personal interview. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India.

Credit Manager (MMGS II)
  • Graduation with 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD) OR Professional qualification (CA/ CMA/ CFA/ MBA Finance) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Branch Management, Credit Appraisal or Processing in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
  • Must be a citizen of India or eligible as per nationality guidelines.
Agriculture Manager (MMGS II)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture Engineering/ Pisciculture with 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD).
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience as an officer in the relevant agriculture field in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
  • Must be a citizen of India or eligible as per nationality guidelines.

Pay Scale

  • MMGS II: Rs. 64,820 – 93,960/-

Selection Process

  • The process of selection is in the form of a Written Test (Optional), Screening, Personal Interview and Final Merit List.
  • Written Test (assuming it is carried out): 100 questions, 100 marks, 105 minutes (English Language: 20 questions, 20 marks, 15 minutes; General Awareness: 20 questions, 20 marks, 30 minutes; Professional Knowledge: 60 questions, 60 marks, 60 minutes).
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 40% Unreserved/EWS, 35% per section, Reserved Categories.
  • Applicants have to pass each of the sections and also have to reach a minimum overall score to be shortlisted for an interview.
  • The final merit is calculated on the basis of cumulative scores: Written Test (70% weightage) and Personal Interview (30% weightage).
  • Written Test scores (out of 120) translated to 70 and Interview Test scores (out of 50) translated to 30.
  • Merit list prepared on a state-by-state basis and combining converted marks (out of 100).
  • Unless mentioned otherwise, interviews were held in New Delhi.
  • Applicants who do not pass the Personal Interview will not be eliminated during the final selection.
  • Written Test may be waived by the Bank.
  • The bank also reserves the right to establish minimum qualifying criteria and filter the shortlisting of the candidates on the basis of experience, as well as suitability.
  • When there was a tie in cut-off marks, the candidates were ranked in the order of their ages.
  • After shortlisting based on the merit list of top candidates by state and category based on merit list, subject to language proficiency test (as necessary).

Applicants with a Bachelor degree in any field (60% marks, 55% in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) or professional qualifications such as CA/CMA/CFA/MBA (Finance) to be a Credit Manager or a degree in Agriculture-related subjects to be an Agriculture Manager. The applicants should have had 3 years of experience within a Scheduled Commercial Bank and be aged between 23-35 years on 01/09/2025. The nationality requirements entail Indian citizenship or certain categories with a Government issued eligibility certificate.

In every section of the test, the candidates must achieve at least 40% (Unreserved/EWS) or 35% (Reserved Categories). The final merit list is a compilation of the written exam (70) and interview (30) marks, which is ready-made state-wise. Interviews are conducted in New Delhi.
