GATE Result 2026 Declared – Download Scorecard and Cutoff Guide

IIT Guwahati announced the GATE Result 2026 on March 19 2026. Candidates who appeared in the exam conducted on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026 can now check their marks, All India Rank (AIR) and qualifying status through the GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The official GATE 2026 Scorecard Download option will be available from March 27, 2026, onwards. The scorecard functions as essential documentation required by M.Tech/Ph.D. applicants and by candidates seeking to enter PSU Recruitment Through GATE 2026 and multiple Government Jobs for Engineers in India. It enables qualifying candidates to pursue IITs/NITs admission and apply for PSU employment at major organizations including ONGC, NTPC, IOCL, BHEL and others.

• The GATE score measures 1000 points.
• The All India Rank system assigns ranking through the All India Rank system.
• The qualifying marks establish minimum requirements for General applicants and OBC-NCL/EWS applicants and SC/ST/PwD applicants.
• The GATE score remains valid for 3 years for M.Tech/Ph.D. programs and 1 year for PSU recruitment through GATE 2026.

• Computer Science (CSE): 28 – 30 marks
• Electronics (ECE): 25 – 27 marks
• Mechanical (ME): 32 – 34 marks
• Civil (CE): 26 – 28 marks

Important Instructions for Candidates

• The Result page displays marks, AIR and qualifying status.
• GATE 2026 Scorecard Download option will be available from March 27, 2026.
• Only GATE 2026 Cutoff Marks qualifying candidates can download the scorecard.
• The scorecard is valid for 3 years for higher studies and 1 year for PSU Recruitment Through GATE Result 2026.
• It is advised to keep multiple copies of the scorecard for counselling and job purposes.
• For COAP Admission to IITs/IISc and CCMT Admission to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, the official scorecard must be used.
• For PSU Recruitment, candidates need to apply separately to each PSU using the GATE 2026 Score.
• The qualifying candidates can also apply for Central Government Jobs in engineering and technical fields.
• It is advised to ensure that all the information provided during GATE 2026 Registration—name, category and paper—is accurate, because officials will verify these details.
• IIT Guwahati will not send a hard copy of the scorecard. Candidates must download it online.

Steps to Check and Download GATE Result 2026

• The official website can be reached through the following link gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
• The user should select the link which directs to the GOAPS portal.
• The candidates need to provide their Enrollment ID or Email along with their Password.
• They needs to enter the captcha code which serves as a security measure.
• The user should select the Login button to proceed.
• The screen will display your GATE 2026 results. The user should download the result document for storage as a reference document.
