SHSB Specialist Doctor Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 256 Posts
State Health Society, Bihar (SHSB) has published the official announcement of SHSB Specialist Doctor Recruitment 2026 to recruit 256 positions of different specialist doctors. Such positions are provided on a contractual basis under National Health Mission (NHM) on an initial 11 months term which can be continued to age 60 depending on performance and availability of funds. Pay Scale
- MD/MS/DNB Qualification: Rs. 1,00,000/- per month
- Diploma Qualification: Rs. 90,000/- per month
- Anaesthetist (Outside District HQ): Rs. 1,20,000/- per month for MD/MS/DNB
Selection Process
- The selection is done on the basis of 100 marks which is decided by the educational qualification and the MBBS percentage is up to 60 marks and the MD/MS/DNB or Diploma 40/30 marks.
- The list of merits is drawn to invite the verified candidates through their scores to verify their documentations.
- In the event of a tie, priority is offered to older candidates.
- The second tie-breaker is higher educational qualification.
- The last tie breaker is alphabetical order of names according to the 10th board certificate.
- The list is the last and its release occurs after the documents are checked successfully and the rules of reservations are observed.

- Access the “Notice Board” or “Advertisement” section to find recruitment links.
- Find the advert or advert code to Specialist Doctors as “ADVT. NO. – 01/2026.”
- Carefully read the specifications and Terms of Reference (TOR).
- On the left-hand side, the registration starts with the click of the Apply Online button.
- Fill in personal, educational and registration information correctly.
- Post a new color image (made within 3 months) and signature in JPG/JPEG/PNG format.
- All entries are to be checked thoroughly since no changes can be made after the submission.
- Send the form and save the copy of the filled application.
- Prepare 5 hard copies of uploaded photograph to be verified during the documents process.
FAQs
Applicants should have applicable postgraduate qualifications/ diplomas in Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, ENT or Anaesthesia in a reputable institution. They should also get registered either by Bharti Council of Medical Registration (BCMR) or by Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission. Under the National Health Mission, 256 contractual posts are open to eligible candidates and are done online.
Candidates that express interest are needed to access the official SHSB site, then choose the section where the advertisement is available, labeled as either Notice board or Human Resource and then selecting the ad denoted as ADVT. NO. – 01/2026. The application form online is to be filled with my correct personal, educational, as well as registration information and uploading of a recent passport sized photograph and signature.
