Southern Railway Apprentices Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 3518 Vacancies
Posted on: August 26, 2025Southern Railway has issued the Southern Railway Apprenticeship Notification 2025 for the appointment of Act Apprentices as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 in different Divisions, Workshops and Units. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online from 25th August 2025 to 25th September 2025 (till 17:00 hrs). This apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment. However, 20% of vacancies in Level 1 direct recruitment are reserved for Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) trained in railway establishments with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Selection Process
- Merit list for the Fresher category will be prepared on the basis of 10th Class marks converted to 200.
- Merit list for Ex-ITI category will be calculated on the basis of 10th Class marks (100) and ITI marks (100), i.e., a total of 200.
- Merit list for MLT category will be compiled from 12th Class marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, normalized to 200.
- In the case of a tie, older candidate will be preferred; in the case of the same age, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be given preference.
- Original certificates will be required to be produced for document verification.

- Click on the “Act Apprentice 2025-26” link to download the detailed notification.
- Find and click on the link for “ENGAGEMENT OF ACT APPRENTICES UNDER APPRENTICES ACT 1961 NOTIFICATION-01/2025”.
- Carefully read the notification to ensure eligibility, i.e., geographical area, age restriction, educational requirements and reservation.
- Click on the online application link mentioned in the notice.
- Register as a new user if not already registered or login using already registered credentials.
- Fill in the application form with correct personal information, education qualifications, trade choices and class details.
- Upload mandatory documents, if any, like scanned images of educational certificates, photograph, signature and class certificates, wherever applicable.
- Choose the relevant PwBD sub-category in case of claiming a reservation against Persons with Benchmark Disability.
- Pay processing fee of Rs. 100/- online, if applicable (exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates).
- Check all details entered carefully before submission.
