Territorial Army Group Headquarters Southern Command is calling for Latest Indian Army Jobs in different Infantry Battalions (Territorial Army) for Indian citizens who qualify. Recruitment rallies are being organized from November 15, 2025 to December 1, 2025 at various centers in India. Selection shall be fair, transparent and on merit basis. Candidates are warned against paying bribe or approaching unscrupulous agents pretending to be recruiters. Verify you qualify under the eligibility criteria, such as educational qualifications, age limit and physical standards.

  • Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject (D Grade or equivalent for grading boards).
  • Should be a resident of the concerned recruitment zone (Appendix A).
  • Must not be enrolled in Armed Forces, Reserve Forces CAPF or State Police.
  • Must not have previously been discharged from TA or any other forces.
  • Must not have criminal background.
  • Must not have more than one living wife.
  • Government servants require enrolment permission.
Soldier (Clerk)
  • 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with aggregate marks of 60% and 50% marks in every subject Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping.
  • English is a compulsory subject.
  • Must be a local citizen of granted recruitment area (Appendix A).
  • Must not be a member of Armed Forces, Reserve Forces CAPF or State Police.
  • No prior discharge from TA or any other force.
  • No criminal offense.
  • Not more than one living wife.
  • Government servants shall have to apply for enrolment permission.
Soldier (Tradesmen,
except House Keeper & Mess Keeper)
  • 10th Class pass with 33% marks in all subjects.
  • Should be local resident of the concerned recruitment area (Appendix A).
  • Should not be member of Armed Forces, Reserve Forces CAPF and State Police.
  • Should not have previous discharge from TA or any other forces.
  • Should not have any criminal conviction in the past.
  • Should have maximum one surviving wife.
  • Government servants need to take sanction for enrolment.
Soldier (Tradesmen:
House Keeper & Mess Keeper)
  • Class 8th passed with minimum 33% marks in all subjects.
  • Should be local resident of the concerned recruitment area (Appendix A).
  • Not being a member of Armed Forces, Reserve Forces CAPF or State Police.
  • No former discharge from TA or any other forces.
  • No criminal records.
  • No more than one living wife.
  • Government servants have to apply for sanction of enrolment.

Important Dates

  • Recruitment Rally: November 15, 2025 – December 1, 2025
  • Reporting Time: Candidates must report by 10:00 AM on the rally day; late entry denied.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Maximum Age: 42 years. (as on the date of recruitment)

  • General/OBC/EWS/SC/ST: No fee specified (recruitment is free; beware of touts).

Application Mode

  • Offline: The candidates must appear at the recruitment rally at the given center with documents.

Pay Scale

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100/- per month (Level 3 of 7th Pay Commission, in embodiment/training periods; no regular salary for part-time service).
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs. 5,200/- per month (for all ranks during active service).
  • Dearness Allowance (DA): Variable (currently around 50% of basic pay, from time to time altered in accordance with inflation).
  • Total In-Hand Salary (Approximate): Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 30,000/- per month in body (basic pay, MSP, DA and other allowances).

Selection Process

  • Physical Fitness Test: 1 Mile Run (timed, e.g., ≤5:30 min for 60 marks for 18-30 years), Pull-Ups (repetitions, e.g., 10+ for 40 marks for 18-30 years), Balance and 9 Feet Ditch (qualifying, no marks); run and pull-ups are qualifying only for Soldier Clerk.
  • Medical Checkup according to Army standards.
  • Trade Test for the specific trade: Clerk (IT/Computer Literacy), Tradesmen (trade-specific ability)
  • Written Test (bilingual, English & Hindi): Soldier (General Duty/Tradesmen) with General Knowledge (40 marks), General Science (30 marks), Maths (30 marks) at least 32 marks to be successful; Soldier (Clerk) with General Knowledge/Science (20 marks), Maths/Computer Science (30 marks), English (50 marks) at least 40 marks to be successful; negative marking (+2 for right, -1 for wrong, 0 for not attempted).
  • Screening/Aptitude Test for Home and Hearth units, if any.
  • Final Merit List for clearing all applicable tests.

  • Click on the event for rally details and alert.
  • Log in/register on NCS, complete the event registration form.
  • Upload supporting documents (AADHAR, PAN, education certificates).
  • Join the rally at 10:00 AM with original documents and two attested photocopies.
  • Do not pay touts; recruitment is free.

FAQs

Recruitment rallies will be held between November 15, 2025 and December 1, 2025 at India’s different centers. The candidates must report to the respective centers punctually with documents, i.e., educational documents and identification documents. Reporting at the rallies is also needed in order to proceed further in the selection process.

It is based on merit and includes physical tests of fitness, medical examination and verification of documents. The shortlisted ones are also interviewed on the battalion requirement basis.
