The Recruitment for all Territorial Army units has been announced from November 15, 2025 to December 14, 2025 by the Directorate General of Recruiting, Territorial Army Group Headquarters, Eastern Command. Pay Scale
- For officers in the TA: Pay Matrix Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500/-) for Lieutenant + Military Service Pay (MSP) Rs. 15,500/-
- For soldier/other ranks (OR) in the Indian Army: Basic pay starts around Rs. 21,700/- (Level 3) and increases with rank
- For TA soldier/OR, one site gives starting pay of Rs. 15,600 – Rs. 39,100/- (with grade pay) for some posts.
Physical Standards
- Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 160 cm (157 cm for Eastern Himalayan Region, Indian Domicile Gorkhas, Garhwalis and Ladakhis).
- Chest: Minimum 82 cm (77 cm unexpanded).
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age per Army medical standards.
- Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 157 cm (152 cm for Eastern Himalayan Region and Indian Domicile Gorkhas).
- Chest: Expansion of 5 cm.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age per Army medical standards.
- Relaxations:
- Sons/Daughters of servicemen/ex-servicemen/war widows: 2 cm height, 2 kg weight, 1 cm chest (males).
- Outstanding Sportsmen/Sportswomen (International/National/State level): 3 cm height, 3 kg weight, 3 cm chest (males).
Selection Process
- All Candidates have physical endurance and fitness tests to measure in strength and endurance.
- Medical officers conduct the medical examination to check physical and medical fitness.
- The trade test is organized for interested candidates competing for a technical post.
- General knowledge and aptitude are evaluated against a written examination.
- The final merit list will be prepared according to the performance made in all the tests.
