The Border Security Force (BSF) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens (Male & Female) for the recruitment of 241 vacancies for the post of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota in Group “C” (Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial). This is a temporary post, likely to be made permanent. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad and will be governed by the BSF Act 1968 and BSF Rules 1969. • SC/ST: 5 years

Note: Only the Date of Birth in the Matriculation Certificate is valid. OBC (NCL) certificates must be issued within 3 years before the application closing date.

• Visit the official BSF recruitment website: https://rectt.bsf.gov.in.
• Navigate to the “Recruitment” section and locate the Constable (General Duty) Sports Quota 2025 notification.
• Read the full notification to confirm eligibility.
• Click the “Apply Now” link to start the online application process.
• Fill in the application form with accurate details.
• Upload required documents: sports certificates, matriculation and educational proofs, caste and relaxation certificates (if applicable), 4 passport photos, NOC (if employed), domicile proof and pay Rs. 147 application fee.
• Pay the application fee (Rs. 147.20 for General/OBC) online.
• Review and submit the application.
• Applicants are advised to retain a printed copy of the submitted application form for record and future correspondence.

Selection Process

1. Documentation:
   • Verification of identity (including biometric capture).
   • Submission of original and self-attested copies of documents (age, education, caste, sports achievements etc).
   • Candidates who fail to produce the required documents will be rejected.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST):
   • Measurement of height, chest (males) and weight.
   • Female candidates must submit a pregnancy status declaration; those who are non-pregnant will be allowed to participate, while pregnant candidates will be declared temporarily unfit and re-examined six weeks post-confinement upon submission of a medical fitness certificate.
   • Candidates failing PST will be eliminated.
3. Merit List:
   • Based on sports achievement marks (Para 4(b)(iii)).
   • Tie-breaking will be based on: higher marks, national over international achievements, event level (National Championship > Senior National > National Open), younger age and alphabetical order of name.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME):
   • Conducted as per MHA guidelines.
   • Candidates failing DME can appeal for Review Medical Examination (RME) within 24 hours with a Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure-VI) and Rs. 25 fee via Indian Postal Order.
   • BSF Medical Board’s decision is final. No second RME appeal allowed.
