AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 225 Short Service Commission Posts
The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) invites applications from qualified Indian citizens (male and female) for the post of Medical Officer (Short Service Commission) for a promising and challenging career in 2025. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age limit and NEET PG scores, are encouraged to apply online by October 3, 2025, under AFMS Recruitment 2025. - Rank: Captain (Level 10B of Defence Pay Matrix).

Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on NEET PG marks/percentile (converted to a score out of 200).
- Interview at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. (from 11 November 2025 onwards).
- Medical Examination (SMB/AMB/RMB as applicable).
- Final Merit List based on NEET PG marks (200) + Viva-Voce (50).

- Open the official AFMS recruitment portal and click Notifications → AMC SSC 02/2025 (AMC).
- Read the full AMC SSC 02/2025 advertisement carefully and confirm you meet eligibility (MBBS/PG recognition, internship completion date and age limits).
- Click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” link to start the application process.
- Fill in the required details accurately in the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of photo, birth/ matric certificate, MBBS attempt & internship certificates, NEET PG scorecard, PG degree (if any) and Aadhar.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 200 via online payment.
- Review and submit the application.
- Save the Online Payment Transaction Number and take a printout of the application for future reference.

The applicants should be holders of an MBBS degree that is accepted by the NMC Act, 2019, who are registered permanently by a State Medical Council. The internship should be done before 31 July 2025. The age of the MBBS applicants should not exceed 30 on 31 December 2025, and the age of the applicants for the PG degree should be no more than 35 on 31 December 2025. Postgraduate degree graduates are also admissible and they are taken into selection with NEET PG scores.
NEET PG short listing will be done, after which a viva-voce interview will be conducted at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. Applicants who have passed the qualification are then subjected to a medical test by a Special Medical Board. A final merit list is prepared by combining NEET PG marks and interview scores. Only candidates declared medically fit and ranked in the merit list will be issued joining instructions for appointment.’
