FAQs
Applicants must have a postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or Child Development. Applications are also open to graduates who have at least three years of experience in child education, development or protection issues. Male and female candidates aged 21 and above to 65 years are taken into consideration. These groups and individuals that represent the child rights or shelter homes can also be covered under Rule 5(6) of the POCSO Rules, 2020.
The applications should be properly filled and sent to the Office of the District Programme Officer, Hoshiarpur, Ram Colony Camp, Chandigarh Road, Hoshiarpur by means of Registered Post. Applicants are expected to provide self-attested documents of academic qualifications, experience and IDs. The application should be received before the deadline of October 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
Shortlisting will be done on qualification and experience, after which a personal interview will be conducted by the Selection Committee. The last panel will be appointed by merit and sanctioned by the Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur. The Support Persons will be empanelled on an initial basis of three years with extensions which may be in terms of performance.
