Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2026. A total of 25,487 vacancies (23,467 Male + 2,020 Female) has been announced for BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR and SSF. Selection Process
- Candidates first face the Computer-Based Test (CBT), about general knowledge, reasoning, mathematics and English/Hindi.
- Candidates who qualify will go through the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), where running and fitness performance will be tested.
- Then, the Physical Standard Test (PST) is conducted to check height, weight and chest measurement as per rules.
- Candidates found fit are subjected to a thorough medical examination to check whether they are fit.
- Last is document verification and the merit list will be prepared based on the overall performance as well as available vacancies.

- Visit the official website at https://ssc.gov.in/
- From the Notices Board, one can find the Notification for the “Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces”.
- One-time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website https://ssc.gov.in should be completed (OTR of old ssc.nic.in will not work).
- Log in, fill up the online application for “Constable (GD) 2026”.
- Upload live photograph (the system will capture real-time photo) and scanned signature.
- Pay fee, if applicable and submit the form by December 31, 2025 (23:00 hrs).
- Take the printout of the application for future reference.
