Staff Car Driver

  • Education Requirement: Has passed the Class 10th exam from a certified board.
  • License Requirement: Must have a valid license for commercial driving.
  • Experience Requirement: Experience in driving various types of vehicles is compulsory.
  • Preference: Skilled or experienced mechanics will be preferred.

Lift Man

  • Qualification: Passed the Class 12th examination from a recognized board.

Selection Stages for Chhattisgarh High Court Recruitment 2026

Staff Car Driver

  • Written Test: There is a written test with 100 marks containing questions pertaining to the Motor Vehicle Act. The candidate needs to score a minimum of 33% marks to be eligible.
  • Practical Test: There is a practical test for driving with 100 marks. The candidate needs to get a minimum of 40 marks; failing which, the selection committee will consider the candidate as unsuccessful.
  • Bonus Marks: The selection committee will give extra 5 marks to those candidates who have certificates of four-wheeler/heavy vehicle specialization and skilled mechanic training by authorized dealers of automobiles or ITIs.
  • Merit List: The merit list is prepared by the selection committee using the scores of written test, practical test, and bonus marks. In case of tie-up, the elder candidate is considered better than the younger one.

Lift Man

  • Written Test: The candidates should qualify in the 100-mark Written Test pertaining to wiring, electrician, and lift operation maintenance with a minimum qualifying mark of 33%.
  • Practical Test: The Evaluation Team conducts a Practical Test of 100 marks, which the aspirants have to clear by scoring at least 40 marks.
  • Additional Marks: The Committee gives 10 additional marks to the aspirants having a practical certificate in Lift Operation.
  • Merit List: The Evaluation Team makes the final merit list on the basis of the marks scored in Written Test, Practical Test, and Additional Marks of aspirants for Government Jobs in Chhattisgarh.

Contingency Fund Employees

  • The selection procedure will completely depend on a skill test related to the applied post.
  • The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the skill test.

General Selection Rules

  • Probation Period: The High Court will put the qualified candidates for the positions of Staff Car Driver and Lift Man under a probation period of three years.
  • Probation Extension: In case the candidate performs poorly during the probation period, the authority has the right to extend the probation period by another year. If the candidate still does not improve himself or herself after that extended probation period, the department can terminate his or her services without giving any reason.
  • Shortlisting: When the number of applicants is more than 100 times the available vacancies, then the selection committee has the right to shortlist the candidates on the basis of their qualifying marks in their academic credentials (8th, 10th or 12th class).
