Selection Procedure for ISRO ICRB Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2026

• Candidates take the written test/CBT for the first post at various centres across India. The test includes discipline-specific subjects and aptitude.
• Candidates are shortlisted for Interview based on the performance in the written test at a ratio of 1:5 with the minimum of 10 candidates.
• Short listed candidates are called for a personal interview where technical knowledge, general awareness, presentation skills, comprehension and academic performance is assessed.
• Unreserved candidates have to get 50% marks in written test and 50% marks in the interview with an aggregate 60%.
• The candidates from reserved posts in PwBD category will have to get 40% marks in written test and 40% in the interview to get 50% marks in total.
• The final selection panel formed with the equal weightage of 50% of the written test and 50% of the interview and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India under the umbrella of Central Government Jobs in India.
• In case of a tie, ISRO determines inter se merit in the following order: written test marks, marks in the essential qualification and date of birth with preference given to the older candidate.

• Marking Scheme for Part A: +1 mark for answering each question correctly, 0 marks for an unattempted question and -1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.
