Selection Stages for Jharkhand Home Guard Vacancy 2026

• The physical test consists of a 1 mile run, high jump, long jump and shot put and is the first test that candidates will complete.
• Up to 20 marks are awarded for each run, high jump and long jump for rural and/or non technical urban candidates; shot put will be a qualifying measure.
• Those who pass the physical test will be subjected to a Hindi writing test (100 marks, 30 marks passing) for rural posts and Class 10 level for urban posts.
• Technical urban candidates are also required to complete a Technical Skill Test of 100 marks and 30 marks is the passing mark.
• A merit list is compiled according to the 2014 criteria with additional marks for the medal winners in national or state sports and marks for education are given to government servants.
• Selected candidates undergo medical test and character verification by police.
• Candidates who have passed out the fitness test are given basic training in the Home Guard and on completion of the training, they are enrolled and receive an enrolment certificate and they will be working in Government Jobs in Jharkhand as volunteers.

• Open the ‘Notice‘ section and Choose the “Recruitment” option.
• Click on titled as “Important Notice Regarding Home Guard Recruitment Under Latehar District“.
