Selection Process
- Applications will be reviewed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; qualifications will be checked and candidates shortlisted based on their prior experience and other supporting documents.
- This shortlisted candidate will inform them through email for the next steps regarding the process, including the date, time and venue.
- To prove their legal knowledge on contracts, arbitration, litigation and infrastructure, candidates may take a test to measure their ability in these fields.
- The Ministry will conduct interviews to determine candidates’ capability, proficiency in the English language, ability to use computers and overall suitability for the job after the exams.
- The final committee will be based on performance in the written examination/interview, desirable qualifications such as expertise in international law and the government’s decision, which is final.
- No TA will be provided to participate in the process and incomplete applications will be rejected.

MEA Consultant Recruitment 2025 invites applications from qualified Indian citizens for the position of Consultant (Legal) in Global Estate Management (GEM) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. This agreement will be on a one -year contract basis, which can be expanded based on performance and requirements.
