Ministry of External Affairs MEA Section Officer Recruitment 2025 – Apply Now for 74 Posts

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the MEA Section Officer Recruitment 2025 for filling up 74 posts of Section Officer in various Regional Passport Offices (RPOs) across India. Eligible officers from the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) are invited to apply on a deputation basis. Candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, including service status, age limit and experience. The deputation period is initially for two years, extendable as per DoP&T norms. Pay Scale

• The pay scale for the Section Officer position in the Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is Level 8/10 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Pay Commission.

• Download the application pro-forma (Annexure-I) from the official notification and complete it accurately.
• Ensure the completed application is forwarded through the proper channel, including the necessary departmental approvals.
• Attach the required documents, including attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years, cadre clearance, vigilance clearance, a statement of penalties (if applicable) and a signed bio-data in duplicate.
