Qualification Requirements for NCRTC Recruitment 2026

Additional Requirements:

• Course Requirements: Only full-time regular courses from approved institutions are considered eligible.
• Equivalence: Equivalents will have to show an equivalence certificate that is valid.

• Operation Supervisor: Operation Management Coordination monitoring.

Age Eligibility & Relaxation (as on Sep 10, 2026)

• Maximum Age: 28 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years.
  • OBC(NCL): 3 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service plus 3 years.
  • PwBD UR/EWS: 10 years.

• Upper Maximum Age: The maximum age after relaxation shall not be more than 50 years.
• NCRTC Employees: Service of one year or more shall be entitled to age relaxation as per service rendered and relaxation in full time qualification.

• PwBDs: A minimum of 40% disability with valid prescribed certificates.

Selection Process for NCRTC Recruitment 2026

• Computer Based Test (CBT): A set of 100 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks, will feature in the first round which will be a computer based test with a time limit of 90 minutes.
• Language selection: The language choices for candidates sitting for NCRTC CBT Exam 2026 will be Hindi and English.
• Marks System: Candidates who answer correctly will be awarded 01 marks per question; the wrong answers will earn them no penalty.
• Qualifying Marks: Marks for qualification 60% for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.
• Merit Based Selection: Candidates obtaining qualifying marks will be selected on merit basis, depending upon the vacancy.
• Medical Fitness Test: Shortlisted candidates will have to take a medical test as per the laid down criteria.
• Medical Criteria: A-3 criteria for D01-D05 & C07-C08; B-1 criteria for D06-D09 & C09-C10; C-1 criteria for C01-C06.

• Junior Maintainer Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 18,250/-.
