The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL), a prominent public sector general insurance organization under the ownership of the Government of India, is inviting online applications from qualified Indian citizens for the recruitment of 500 Class III Assistants. Pay Scale

Selection Process

• The recruitment process includes a Tier I Preliminary Examination followed by a Tier II Main Examination and a Regional Language Test.
• Tier I is of 100 marks and 60 minutes duration, comprising English Language (30 marks, 20 minutes), Reasoning (35 marks, 20 minutes) and Numerical Ability (35 marks, 20 minutes).
• Tier II is of 250 marks and 120 minutes duration, covering English Language (50 marks, 30 minutes), Reasoning (50 marks, 30 minutes), Numerical Ability (50 marks, 30 minutes), Computer Knowledge (50 marks, 15 minutes) and General Awareness (50 marks, 15 minutes).
• The Regional Language Test is qualifying in nature and is conducted to assess the candidate’s proficiency in the regional language of the State/UT applied for.
• Final selection is based on Tier II performance, subject to qualification in the Regional Language Test. In case of a tie in scores, preference is given to the older candidate.
• A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in both Tier I and Tier II examinations.
