Stages of the Selection Process for RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026
- Single Application Rule: One online application shall be submitted by each candidate from the official website of RRB.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): All the notified categories will appear for one stage CBT of 90 minutes comprising of 100 questions and 120 minutes for eligible PwBD category candidates appearing for CBT with scribe assistance.
- Question Pattern: Objective type questions based on General Awareness (10 marks), Professional Ability (70 marks), General Arithmetic, General Reasoning & Intelligence (10 marks) and General Science (10 marks).
- Negative Marking: For every incorrect response, one-third of the total marks assigned to that question will be deducted
- Minimum Marks Requirement for Qualification: 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC(NCL) and SC and 25% for ST candidates with 2 marks relaxation for PwBD candidates.
- Document Verification Shortlisting: An equivalent number of candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on merit of the CBT exam which is normal practice followed in case of Central Government Jobs in India.
- Document Verification: Original certificates with two self-attested copies of the same are to be submitted during verification process.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must clear the prescribed physical eligibility standards conducted by Railway administration.
- Panel Allotment: Selection shall be on merit basis through CBT after document and fitness verification.
