The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Central Railway (NCR) is conducting the RRC NCR Act Apprentices Recruitment 2025 and is accepting online applications to 1,763 vacancies of Act Apprentice vide the Apprentices Act, 1961. The training will be provided in different trades at the Headquarters (Prayagraj), Divisions (Prayagraj, Agra, Jhansi) and also at the Jhansi Workshop in 2025-26. The applicants have to meet the given eligibility requirements, such as educational and technical certification and age requirements. The selection will be done on a merit basis and the successful candidates will be put under a one-year apprenticeship training program.

Selection Process
- Merit List: Prepared based on the average of percentage marks in SSC/Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI examination with equal weightage.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (1.5 times the notified vacancies) will be called for verification.
- Tie-Breaker: Preference given to older candidates; if dates of birth are the same, earlier matriculation passers are prioritized.
- No Written Test/Viva: Selection is purely merit-based.
- Final Merit List: Unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise, subject to document verification and medical fitness (as per Annexure H).

- Navigate to the Online Application Portal: Locate and click on the “ONLINE FORM” link on the homepage.
- Register as a New User: When you are a new user, you are required to select the New Registration option and fill in the necessary details to open an account.
- Log in to Your Account: Once you have registered, you can log in using your credentials.
- Complete the Online Application Form: Fill out the application form by filling in all the required personal, education and trade requirements.
- Upload Copies of Documentation: Upload the scans of all the documents required, such as SSC/10th mark sheet, ITI mark sheet and National Trade Certificate, caste/disability certificate (where applicable), recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Payment of Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable fee of application fee of 100 (General/OBC/EWS candidates) through the online payment gateway. Candidates with SC/ST/PwBD/Transgender and Female are not subject to the fee.

Candidates need to be Indian nationals who have cleared SSC/ Matriculation with 50 percent and possess an ITI certificate or a National Trade Certificate in the respective trade. The age limit is between 15 to 24 years, where SC/ST/OBC, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are relaxed according to the notification. It is necessary that the candidates be in compliance with all the requirements of eligibility before they send the online application.
