Northern Coalfields Limited (A Mini Ratna Company), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has announced the NCL Diploma/Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2025 for qualified Indian nationals. Candidates with the required qualifications, experience and skills are invited to apply online through the National Apprentice Training Scheme (NATS) portal by December 23, 2025. Make sure you fulfill all eligibility conditions such as education, age and domicile. This recruitment is an excellent opportunity among PSU Government jobs in India for fresh graduates and diploma holders. The selection process will depend on academic scores and document verification.This is a one-year apprenticeship under a government-owned company.

Selection Process
- Short-listing based on aggregate marks/percentage in the qualifying B.Com/Diploma examination
- Verification of documents and medical examination as compulsorily required under Mines Rules 1955.
- Final merit list in descending order, ties resolved by age of birth and in alphabetical order
- Issue of apprenticeship orders only after successful verification and medical clearance.

- Visit the official NCL website at www.nclcil.in
- Click on “Careers” and select “Apprenticeship Training”.
- Locate and open the notification titled “Notification for engagement of Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma in Civil Apprentices”
- Create your account by registering/enrolling yourself on the portal https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in.
- Once the Enrolment ID is provided, access https://nats.education.gov.in to log in.
- Look for the organization “Northern Coalfields Limited” and choose the relevant apprenticeship notification.
- Fill in all required personal, academic and contact details carefully; upload scanned photograph and signature.
- Verify all the details before submitting, then submit the online application before the last date.
- Retain a printout and soft copy of your application for future reference and document verification.
FAQs
The applicants must be Indian nationals and should also be the residents of Madhya Pradesh or Uttar Pradesh. For the Diploma in Civil Engineering, a 3-year AICTE/State Board-recognized diploma is required, while, for B.Com, it requires a 3-year UGC-approved degree. Only full-time regular courses are to be considered; candidates who have completed their qualifying course before June 2021 will not be considered.
Selection is based on academic merit and verification of original documents. Applicants are shortlisted according to aggregate marks in the qualifying degree or diploma. A merit panel is prepared with ties resolved by date of birth and then alphabetical order of names. Candidates must also pass a medical fitness test under Mines Rules 1955.
The monthly stipend to be provided to the Diploma trainees in Civil Engineering is Rs. 10,900/- and the B.Com graduates working as Data Entry Operators will be paid Rs. 12,300/ per month. The stipend is paid by the Government of India through DBT, which is related to attendance.
