Selection Phases for KPSC Audit Officer Recruitment 2026
- The candidates eligible for the posts will appear for the Preliminaries Examination, a Objective type paper marking 450 marks for 2 papers.
- The Preliminary Examination only serves as a screening test and KPSC selects candidates for the Main Examination at a ratio of 1:20 against the advertised posts.
- The mark for Preliminary Examination will not be included in the final merit and will only determine who will advance to the next stage.
- The shortlisted candidates then appear for the descriptive Main Examination which comprises of 8 papers on Kannada, English General Studies, Financial Accounting and Auditing.
- The minimum marks required to be obtained by the candidates in each paper are as follows: Candidates belonging to SC ST category and Category-1 should obtain at least 30% marks and others (GEN) should secure at least 35% marks in each paper.
- The Kannada language paper and English language paper are qualifying papers and marks secured in these papers will not be taken into consideration in making the final merit list.
- Government Jobs in Karnataka are final selection and appointment against these posts which based only on marks secured in the Main Examination.
