Remuneration Details
- Salary: According to the official KSLSA Section Officer Pay Scale, the salary varies from Rs. 69,250/- to Rs. 1,34,200/- per month.
- Pay Scale Grade: 69250-1650-74200-1900-85600-2300-99400-2700-115600-3100-134200 under the KSLSA Section Officer Pay Scale structure.
- Period of Probation: Successful candidates will be put on a probation period for two years.
- Allowances: Applicable Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other state government benefits.

Recruitment Procedure for KSLSA Section Officer Recruitment 2026
- OMR Test: Written Competitive Test – OMR-based Test to be conducted at one venue Bengaluru only with two sheets of paper.
- Paper-I (General Knowledge and Mental Ability): 100 Questions, 300 Marks, Duration: 2 Hours (Minimum Cut-off: 105 Marks)
- Paper-II (Law and Legal Acts): 100 Questions, 300 Marks, Duration: 2 Hours (Minimum Cut-off: 105 Marks)
- Penalty Marks for Wrong Attempts: In every instance where the candidate selects wrong or multiple answers 0.375 Marks will be deducted from the total score.
- Interview or Viva-Voce Test: Those who qualify the written test would be called for Interview in the ratio of 1:5 for each Category.
- Interview Mark: Maximum 25 marks (Qualifying Marks: 13 Marks).

FAQs
Applicants must have obtained a degree in LL.B. from any of the recognized institutions. Moreover, applicants must show competence in speaking the Kannada language by either undergoing formal education or clearing the departmental test before probation.
There will be a two-level assessment process that will help select applicants. The applicants have to write an offline exam which is OMR-based on General Knowledge, Mental Ability and Legal Acts. Those applicants who clear the written exam get shortlisted for an interview in a 1:5 ratio.
