Selection Phases for IREL Tradesman Trainee Recruitment 2026

• Selection is comprised of computer based written test and a qualifying skill test either a trade test or a computer proficiency test.
• This test is 2 hours long and contains 100 questions of trade knowledge and 50 questions of general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability and English.
• 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer, there is no negative marking.
• Unreserved/EWS candidates should have 50 % marks in each section while OBC (NCL), SC, ST candidates should have 45 % marks in each section.
• Qualified candidates are invited for skill test in the ratio of 1:5 for every post.
