Tenure Limits and Engagement Conditions

• Engagement Period: The hospital engages candidates for one year or until UPSC recruits regular specialists or MCD fills the posts through contractual appointments, whichever occurs earlier.
• Normal Tenure: Candidates applying for MCD Senior Residents Recruitment 2026 should note that the senior residency should be normal maximum of 3 years including any other government hospital.
• Extended tenure: If doctors with three years of experience are not available, the hospital may consider doctors with more than three years experience. However, a total of 5 years of senior residency is not allowable.
• No Regular Claim: Contractual engagement does not qualify candidate for regular position.
• Restrictions: Senior Residents may not do any private practice or change hospitals during residency.
• Duty Assignment: Assign duties as per institutional requirement but without any extra allowance.

Hiring Procedure for MCD Recruitment 2026

• The eligible doctors are required to report at the Library, 5th Floor, G Block, Hindu Rao Hospital, Malka Ganj from 9 AM to 12 noon on October 29, 2026.
• In the first step, the officials will check the proforma of the application, fee instrument, original document and self-attested photocopy of each candidate.
• Candidates will be called before a Selection Board headed by Addl. Medical Superintendent and Director Health Administration of MCD. MS, CMO (Administration), subject experts and an SC/ST/OBC representative.
• Marks will be awarded on a 20 mark scale (PG Degree or PG Diploma) and 5 mark scale (interview performance).
• The department wise merit list will be prepared based on the reservation list and the number of vacancies in each specialization.
• Availability will be subject to medical fitness and educational, caste, age and DMC registration.
• No phone call will be made to selected doctors joining Government Jobs in Delhi, they will be informed through e-mail and official websites.
