- Most Posts: 18-32 years.
- Sub Registrar: Minimum 20 years.
- Probation Officer: 22-42 years.
- Executive Officer Grade III: 25-37 years.
- Deputy Commercial Tax Officer: Up to 32 years; 34 years for Law graduates.
- No Maximum Age: Below 60 years.

Hiring Stages
- The selection process starts with a simple and preliminary exercise based on the OMR worksheet to conduct a preliminary screening which carries no marks for ranking.
- Candidates who get minimum qualifying marks in either Group II or Group IIA are selected for separate written test for Group II and Group IIA service.
- The main examination consists of Papers I and II, Paper I is a qualifying Tamil Eligibility Test and Paper II is the final merit paper.
- In both categories, a minimum of 40 marks in Paper I is required to be eligible for the evaluation of Paper II.
- The commission prepares a provisional merit list on the basis of the marks secured in paper II and admits the candidates to the onscreen certificate verification after reservation ratios.
- Shortlisted candidates appear for Physical Certificate Verification in which original certificates are verified with the documents mentioned in the online application form.
- The final posting is done through counselling and those selected are posted in Government Jobs in Tamil Nadu across the departments of Government.
